Course Tuition

Mini Class (15 hours): $195
(additional $70 for credit fee)

Standard Class (30 hours): $395
(additional $145 for credit fee)

Accelerated Class (30 hours): $395 - SUMMER quarter only
(additional $145 for credit fee)

Series Intensive Class (140 hours): $1695 - SUMMER quarter only
(additional $395 for credit fee)

Clock Hours

Clock Hour Fee - $30 per class

Please note: a $20 post-deadline fee applies for those who register after the registration deadline.

Refund Policy
  • 100% refund for withdrawal before the registration deadline.
  • 85% refund for withdrawal before the end of the first week of class.
  • 50% refund for withdrawal before the end of the second week of class.*
  • No refunds are issued after the second week of classes.
*No refund available in the second week for Accelerated Classes.

Severe Weather Policy

Classes may be cancelled if weather conditions make travel to and from SLA difficult, unsafe or impossible. A maximum of two make-ups will be scheduled for foreign language classes cancelled due to severe weather. Classes starting at 9:45am, 11:30am, and 4:15pm will be made up on either the fifth or ninth Friday of the quarter at their regular meeting times; for 6:00pm and 7:40pm classes, make-ups will be scheduled on either the fifth or ninth Saturday of the quarter at 9:45am and 11:30am, respectively.

To find out about possible cancellations due to severe weather, call the SLA main number (206-325-4109) after 7:30 am on the day of your class for a voice-mail announcement.

Texts and Supplemental Materials

Students pre-pay for required materials at the time of registering for a class. To avoid long lines on the first day of classes, the SLA office encourages students to retrieve materials in advance-call ahead to confirm availability. If you are unable to pick up your materials before the beginning of the quarter, please arrive 20 minutes early on the first day of class.

Text & Material Price List

Various supplemental materials are available for some of the required textbooks. Supplemental materials include but are not limited to: workbooks, laboratory manuals, audio cassette tapes or CDs, and CD-ROMs. During the first week of classes, the SLA office will assist in the ordering of supplemental materials; you may reach the SLA office by telephone at 206-325-4109 or visit the school during office hours.
